Coaching (Basketball)
Thank you for your interest in serving with STARS Basketball. Here is some more information to answer some questions about the volunteer position before you apply:
Introductory (recreational) League-this division is a developmental league that focuses on developing the fundamentals of basketball, learning the rules and strategies of the game, making friends, and having fun.
- Boys & girls 4 years old – 6th grade
- Three separate seasons each year, spring, summer & fall, 9 weeks each
- Practice: once a week for one hour at CCV, M-Th
- Games: each Saturday at CCV
- Pre-season coach training offered
Foundational League-This division is designed for players with some playing experience and a basic understanding of the game of basketball and its rules and tactics.
- Boys & girls 3rd – 8th grade
- Three separate seasons each year-spring, summer & fall, 9 weeks each
- Practice: once a week for 90 minutes, M-Th
- Games: each Saturday off-site
- Pre-season coach training offered
